Geely Galaxy E5 (EX5) hits 150,000-unit sales milestone

On July 4, Geely Galaxy announced that the cumulative sales of its E5 (known as the EX5 in the overseas market) pure electric SUV exceeded 150,000 units. The car was first launched in August last year in China. In 2024, 77,685 units were delivered.

In the overseas markets, the model is known as the Geely EX5 and has the same parameters as that of the domestic version. So far, the Geely EX5 has entered markets including Greece, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, and Adriatic nations.

Built based on Geely’s GEA (Global Electric Architecture) platform, the Geely Galaxy E5 measures 4615/1901/1670 mm with a 2750 mm wheelbase. The drag coefficient is 0.269 Cd.

Power comes from a front electric motor that outputs 160 kW (215 hp) and 320 Nm, combined with 49.52 kWh and 60.22 kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries, which correspond to a pure electric range of 440 km and 530 km, respectively. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time is 6.9 seconds, the moose test speed is 78 km/h, the top speed is 180 km/h, and the lowest power consumption per 100 km is 11.9 kWh.

Under fast charging, it takes 20 minutes to recharge the battery from 30% to 80%; and recharging for 20 minutes can reach 135 km of range.
